Cross Pause is a spiritual wellness app that helps users take mindful prayer breaks by temporarily limiting access to distracting apps. Whether used by parents to guide their children's spiritual habits or by individuals for personal growth, we are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

1. Other Data We Collect

Beyond Screen Time data (which stays on your device), Cross Pause collects the following information:

Local Notifications

We send local notifications to remind you of prayer times. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve our servers. You can enable/disable them in the app settings or iOS Settings → Notifications.

Analytics (Firebase)

We collect anonymized usage data to improve the app, including:

• Screens viewed and features used (e.g., "started prayer break")
• App crashes and performance issues
• Device type and OS version

This does NOT include: Your blocked apps list, screen time duration, or personal information. You can opt out of analytics in app settings.

Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

If you subscribe to premium features, RevenueCat processes:

• Purchase transactions
• Subscription status and history

This does NOT include Screen Time data.

User Preferences

• Prayer preferences and schedules
• App settings and customizations
• Generated prayers (stored locally on device)

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial data, health records, or precise location data.

7. Children's Privacy

Cross Pause is rated 4+ and can be used for personal spiritual wellness by users of all ages. The app uses Family Controls API to help manage screen time during prayer moments, and can be:

• Set up by parents to help their children establish healthy prayer habits
• Used by teenagers and adults for self-monitoring and spiritual growth

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent. All Screen Time data stays on the device and is never transmitted to our servers. Parents can review all app settings and request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at hello@crosspause.com.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
